The City of Waterville Department of Public Works is accepting applications for an experienced Equipment Operator. Qualified applicants should have a background in equipment operation, particularly trucks up to 64,000 GVW, bucket loader, street sweeper, light excavator and other specialized equipment. Should also possess a general knowledge and understanding of Public Works operations.
High school diploma, valid State of Maine Class B - CDL required, and ability to perform work in all types of inclement weather required. Successful candidate must live within 30 road mile radius of Public Works facility. Previous experience in construction and equipment operations preferred. Starting pay is $18.99 per hour. Starting pay will increase to $19.56 on July 1, 2024.
