Job Description:
DescriptionLinkitall LLC (DBA LIA) is seeking a Technical Publications Support Specialists to support the Marine Command Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicles. This role involves leveraging expertise in XML, HTML, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to design, develop, modify, and manage technical publications. The ideal candidates will possess strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet technical publication requirements.Major responsibilities include (and not limited to)
  • Design, develop, create, and revise, and finalize all technical publications content.
  • Create, modify, and manage XML tags effectively and possess an understanding of XML namespaces and their application for avoiding conflicts and ensuring clarity in documents.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for XML-related issues and validate and verify XML tagging for accuracy and completeness.
  • Validate and verify XML tagging for completeness and accuracy using industry-standard validation tools.
  • Collaborate with PM AAA to understand technical publications requirements and specifications.
  • Analyze complex technical information to create clear, structured documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Publishing, English, Computer Science, Journalism or other related fields preferred.
  • Secret Clearance or higher required.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in XML, HTML, CSS, and validation tools for technical publications.
  • Knowledge of XML syntax rules, including proper use of tags, attributes, and structure.
  • Certification in XML or related technical skills.
Experience
  • Experience with the XML, HTML and Cascading Style Sheets interface, integration capabilities, and validation tools.
  • Experience with military or defense-related technical publications preferred.
Skills
  • Proficient understanding of XML syntax rules, namespaces, and document structure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address XML-related technical challenges.
  • Possess effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Experience with Screen capture applications (Snag-It, Snipping Tool, Paint, or Photoshop)
  • Outstanding language, grammar, editing, proofreading, and formatting skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
