The Publicity Manager will play a pivotal role in strategizing, executing, and managing publicity campaigns for series and movies in both the scripted and unscripted space. This role requires a dynamic individual who can leverage multiple earned media channels, including broadcast, print, online, and new media, to maximize visibility and impact.

The Publicity Manager will be deeply involved in all stages of production, working closely with executive producers, talent, and production company partners from pre-production through to post-launch. Collaboration is key, as this role interfaces with a wide range of internal partners, including content/programming, marketing, social media, and digital teams.

This role demands someone who can handle a significant workload with enthusiasm and is eager to learn and grow. The ideal candidate is not only highly organized but also brings a creative, proactive, problem-solving mindset to the table. They should be fully capable of contributing effectively both within and outside their specialty.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategize, execute, and manage publicity campaigns for Hallmark series and movies in both the scripted and unscripted genres.
  • Utilize multiple earned media channels, including broadcast, print, online, and new media.
  • Develop and manage positive relationships with the talent, producers, publicists, agents, managers, production staff, media, and executives.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams, including content, marketing, social, and digital, to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
  • Generate press materials, including announcement releases, bios, captions, talking points, loglines, pitch letters, and correspondence.
  • Foster strong contacts with print, online, and electronic media.
  • Secure stories, manage and staff interviews and events, compile and present comprehensive campaign coverage and analysis.
  • Pitch ideas and create promotional opportunities for talent and content.
  • Possess a strong understanding of and experience with social media.
  • Participate in the awards campaign strategy and submission process for assigned shows.
  • Qualifications

    BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills required.
  • 5+ years relevant experience at network, streamer, studio.
  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Established media contacts across consumer entertainment.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • The salary range for this job is between $78,900- $105,100. Salary rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
