Identifies and pursues new market opportunities, including digital platforms, new content verticals, and latent or emerging markets.Financial ManagementOversees the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitors financial performance and implements measures to achieve financial targets. Develops strategies to diversify revenue streams through advertising, subscriptions, sponsored content, and other innovative monetization methods. Fully accountable for department's financial results. Editorial OversightWorks with editorial team to ensure all published content meets high editorial standards for accuracy, clarity, and relevance. Maintains the publication's overall voice and tone. Collaborates to develop a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the Company's objectives and audience needs. Encourages innovative storytelling techniques and the use of multimedia to enhance content engagement.Operations LeadershipEffectively oversees day-to-day operations. Streamlines content production processes to ensure efficiency and timely publication. Implements and manages editorial calendars. Leverages new technologies and tools to enhance content creation, distribution, and reader/audience engagement.Team ManagementLeads and inspires a creative team of editors, writers, and content creators. Fosters a culture of collaboration and excellence. Sets and communicates achievable performance goals, regularly provides feedback to team members, and holds team accountable for expected results.Compliance and EthicsEnsures all content and business practices comply with legal requirements and ethical standards. Addresses any issues related to copyright, libel, or other legal matters promptly with the Legal team.Other Duties as AssignedAdditional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIESEducation/ExperienceBachelor's degree in publishing, journalism, communications, or a related field.
