Our goal is to develop mutually beneficial partnerships utilizing our core values of:Faith, Integrity, Team, Growth and Loyalty.Website: www.wilksbrothers.comThis position will be on site at our facility located in: Cisco, TXWe do not offer visa sponsorship for this position.Position Summary: Operates equipment to increase oil flow from producing wells or to remove stuck pipe, casing, tools, or other obstructions from wells. Carries out a variety of physical activities on the well servicing or pulling unit floor or elsewhere on the well site as directed.Key Roles / Responsibilities:
  • Ensures all crew members are at the rig and prepared to work at the scheduled time.
  • Determines how a service job will be performed based on specific conditions at the well site.
  • Performs routine operating functions and troubleshooting on all equipment with direction from operation personnel as well as the client company representative.
  • Operates the draw-works and assesses down-hole conditions and well pressures.
  • Lifts, removes, or installs production equipment as required.
  • Handles jack stands, matting boards and assists in securing the guy wires.
  • Provides operating reports to the Field Supervisor-Rigs or Tool Pusher.
  • Tests and monitors equipment using correct procedures.
  • Trains and directs the crew on safety and job procedures.
  • Establishes daily maintenance program for the rig.
  • Oversees the setting up, taking down, and transportation of the service rig.
  • Drives pulling unit, as necessary, to and from well site.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical functions
  • Previous operation and safety experience as Derrick hand or Floor hand.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check.
  • Class A (preferred).
  • Level 1 Well Control Certification (preferred)
  • Heavy travel required.
Working Conditions:
  • Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
  • The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.
  • Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
  • Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
  • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
  • Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
