Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Design and development of high voltage (up to 50 kV) and high speed (200 ps) pulse generators. These devices are often designed to order, which requires the ability to interpret customer requirements and develop an appropriate solution by modifying existing designs or creating a new design.
  • Capture schematics using design software such as Altium, OrCAD and KiCAD.
  • Layout of PCBs up to 6 layers. Alternatively, work with outside layout providers to ensure all layout constraints are met in the final design.
  • Participate in project status reviews, specification development and other project activities.
  • Hands on lab work to build and debug prototypes, perform system integration, validation testing and other related activities.
  • Ability to occasional travel, up to 10%.

Required Skills

  • Experience in product development with a strong background in analog and high voltage electronics.
  • Design and test experience with discrete power components such as bipolar transistors, MOSFETs and IGBTs.
  • Experience with circuit simulation.
  • Experience designing with schematic capture and PCB layout software.
