Job description Read and understand complex design specifications to assemble various parts and products Follow build procedures and drawings to produce various quality mechanical assemblies Perform assembly operations according to component requirements as detailed on work orders Operate machinery, power tools and other heavy equipment to meet assembly specifications Support Manager and Production Management to meet production control timelines Identify and inform Manager of issues with design, production, defective parts, or unsatisfactory findings May be assigned to perform pressure tests on welded parts to test for leaks Maintain a clean and safe work environment Experience requirements 1-3 years of proven assembly experience required Significant mechanical skills and attention to detail Knowledge Solid math skills Adjust, operate, and understand set-up of machines and tools in your area to produce various parts with specifications from blueprints Proficiency with measuring equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers Forklift driving license is desirable Educational requirements High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred Some college coursework preferred Additional requirements Must be safety and environmentally focused Well-organized Willingness to learn is a must Proactive and commitment to solve problems do not let a problem remain before the sunset Solid and effective communication skills - verbal, written and interpersonal
