Pump Shop Planner/Service Coordinator Needed!
Job Overview:
As a Pump Shop Planner/Service Coordinator, you will support the Operations team by performing a variety of tasks - your primary responsibility is to provide timely updates on each job, ensuring we meet and exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop production schedules based on customer orders - collaborating with purchasing and production teams to ensure the availability of materials and resources to meet targets and deadlines.
- Monitor daily work order fulfillment according to the plan, coordinating with facility management to address any schedule deviations and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Obtain quotes for new parts and repairs
- Manage work orders and track customer-supplied parts and materials - maintain Status Report.
- Assist the Manager by providing RFQ information needed by the Estimating department to complete quotes.
- Coordinate all incoming and outgoing parts for the machine shop with the foundry and external vendors.
- Monitor inventory for the machine shop and serve as the point of contact for shop supply needs (tooling, hardware, etc.).
- Assist the sales team by providing updates on any date changes or issues when a customer's part is in our possession until it is delivered back to the customer.
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving to ensure parts/materials are received and documented.
- Work with internal Customer Service Representatives to relay job status and provide project timelines and schedules.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5 years of equivalent work experience
- BS or BA Degree in a relevant field (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.)
- Familiarity with demand planning, ERP systems, and lean manufacturing principles
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, inspection, and assembly
