Here's where you'll demonstrate your proficiencies:Setup and operate small hydraulic presses and small drill presses;Read and understand blueprints and specifications;Move products to finished area;Maintain work area in accordance with established housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment;Perform duties in accordance with established quality standards;Follow the established standard work and maintain 5S in the fabrication areaQualifications - InternalSkills & ExperienceThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:Must have proficient English reading and writing skills and be able to read and comprehend MSDS sheets and standard work instructions. High School Diploma/GED is preferred.2-8 years' work experience with punch press machinery; including running and setting up machines/pressesWillingness and ability to work overtime hoursPrevious lean manufacturing work experience desiredManual dexterity and lifting 20-35 pounds may be requiredExperience as a material handler in a manufacturing environment is preferredAbility to lift and maneuver parts and assemblies several times through the build processWorking ConditionsRegularly exerting up to 20 lbs. of force and occasionally up to 50 lbs.Bending body downward and forward at the waist.Standing for sustained periods of time.Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.Fortive Corporation OverviewFortive's essential technology makes the world stronger, safer, and smarter. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
