Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring a Sourcing Associate in Flemington, NJ, with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will be responsible for pulling data from multiple sources, analyzing data, and documenting data in electronic files.This is a first shift position.As a Sourcing Associate you will:Procure raw material and work with vendors to arrange for deliveries of material to support warehouse and production needs.Communicate daily with Production, Engineering, Quality, Management and Logistics on supply chain related topics (Backorders, OTIF, Customer Orders and Inventory)Manage purchase orders; reconcile Purchase Orders and Invoices to reduce/eliminate mismatched exceptions.Support the supplier management program: be involved in market research, supplier interviews, and collection of supplier performance information and raw material risk analysis.Support planning team for miscellaneous BOM and master data needs related to planning.Gather and analyze data to update and maintain various systems, including but not limited to IMES SAP, PeopleSoft, and the Global Project System (GPS). Run reports as needed for plant supply chain team.Estimated Duration up to 24 months.The ideal candidate will have:Bachelor's Degree or higher from accredited university, or HS Diploma/equivalent with 6 years experience.Minimum of 2-3 years relevant working experience in procurementWorking knowledge of theories and practices, typically applied to one discipline.Knowledge of computer programs and corporate systemsExperience with Microsoft Excel & Microsoft WordStrong analytical skills to process data effectivelyPay Rate: $27.48 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
