Summary: Industrial Automation Inc, a licensed OEM manufacturer of aircraft tooling, has an immediate opening for a full-time Purchaser. Applicants should have a minimum of two years' relevant experience and be familiar with Seattle-area suppliers of raw material and components. Essential Responsibilities and Functions: - Work with Production Control and Sales to determine priorities and delivery schedules. - Request competitive quotes for both raw materials and purchased goods. - Evaluate quotations for best pricing and availability. - Place purchase orders based on competitive quotes. - Resolve issues with material availability, obsolete components, part number changes, etc. - Regularly contact suppliers for status updates and follow up on late orders. - Promptly communicate potential delays or other concerns with outstanding orders. - Maintain adequate inventory of shop consumables and tools. - Validate pack slips and invoices for Accounts Payable. Requirements: - Good organizational skills. - Strong time management, ability to prioritize based on components' cost and time sensitivity. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proficient in MS Office. - Experience with ERP Systems. - Respect and commitment to the job and for coworkers. - Problem solving abilities.
