For more information, please visit Nautique.com The purchasing agent is a crucial role in our supply chain, responsible for managing all aspects of material planning and purchasing to support our marine manufacturing operations. Responsible for raw material and part forecasting, purchase order placement and maintenance, and order management to sustain optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have supply chain and purchasing experience in a production environment, analytical and critical thinking skills, and strong interpersonal skills to successfully negotiate and build key relationships with suppliers. This is a 100% in-office position. Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and prepare material consumption according to supplier lead timesEntering purchase orders into ERP system (Epicor 11/Kinetic)Communicate with suppliers regularly to follow up on open orders, forecasts, and past due ordersProactively assess and manage supply chain risks, implementing strategies to mitigate part shortages and stockouts and acting with a sense of urgency to ensure production all materials needed to build boatsMaintain excellent relationships and communication with suppliers and internal departmentsAssisting and coordinating with suppliers to correct discrepancies on packing slips for the receiving teamsWorking with accounting on price checks and proofs of deliveryInventory control duties: cycle counting, purchase order receipt accuracy, tracking returned material inventoryAbility to make sound judgements and take the initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions/choices within the functional area of responsibility with minimal direct supervision Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, operations management, industrial engineering, or similar preferred 3+ years of purchasing experienceAnalytical and critical thinking skillsERP/MRP experienceStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organization and project management skillsAbility to juggle and manage competing tasks and demands and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected eventsWorking competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.)APICS certificationEpicor/Kinetic experience5+ years of purchasing experience for a manufacturing company Correct Craft provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) PandoLogic.
