Level of Contribution = Self Job Description for: Purchasing Agent - CorporateSummary:Sid Harvey's is a national wholesale HVAC/R distributor. The company is privately held, and includes 80 branch locations, a central distribution center and a manufacturing plant, across 20 states. We have a current opening for a Buyer/Purchasing Agent in our Garden City, NY office.Hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMThe candidate for this position will need to be able to build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and co-workers. Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing HVAC/R equipment, parts, and accessories. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Negotiate pricing and make purchasing decisions in accordance with company policies and budget constraints. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing discrepancies. Must be proficient in excel. Purchasing and or HVACR experience preferred.
