To strengthen our team in Ann Arbor, we are looking for you as a(n) Purchasing Agent. Responsibilities:
- The purchase of Direct Materials within the regional PL organization.
- Support assigned categories under the General Raws and Packaging Segment.
- Provides functional support of other tandem categories including assisting other Strategic Procurement Managers on the developing and execution of category strategies by facilitating continuous improvement.
- Supporting role in developing, negotiating, and administering contracts for assigned categories such packaging and may require travel to Wacker sites to facilitate.
- Manage the successful partnership between Wacker's internal customers and external key suppliers to achieve the best total cost of ownership through the use of appropriate tools and systems (e.g., ARIBA tenders, eAuctions, etc.).
- Support and facilitate the coordination with other departments with the timely procurement and delivery of key materials and services, lead timely preparation for Procurement Monthly Reports, KPI's, forecasts, audits, supplier complaints/claims/evaluations and other reporting as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in related field.
