We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team in Danbury, CT.**Position Overview**: The Purchasing Associate is an entry level position and will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services necessary for the operations of Zendex Tool Corp. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and an understanding of procurement processes.**Key Responsibilities**:- **Purchase Orders**: Prepare and issue purchase orders for goods and services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.- **Inventory Control**: Monitor inventory levels to ensure that materials and products are available when needed without overstocking.- **Quality Control**: Ensure that purchased goods and services meet required quality standards and specifications.- **Vendor Communication**: Maintain good relationships with suppliers, resolve any issues, and evaluate supplier performance regularly.- **Market Research**: Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and new products or technologies that could benefit the organization.- **Cost Control**: Work to minimize costs and improve efficiency by finding the most cost-effective suppliers and methods of procurement.- **Compliance**: Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of all purchases, contracts, and supplier interactions, and prepare reports for management.**Qualifications**:- **Education**: Associates degree with work experience considered, Bachelors degree preferred- **Experience**: 1-3 years of experience in a purchasing or inventory control environment, preferably in the manufacturing industry.- **Skills**: - Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - High attention to detail and organizational skills. - High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle supply chain disruptions.**Pay & Benefits**:- $40,000 to $50,000 annual salary (Based on experience)- 401(k) with company match- Paid time off and holidays- Professional development opportunities**Zendex Tool Corp is an equal opportunity employer.
