Job DescriptionIMMI is looking for a proactive problem solver with direct communication to tactically support our purchasing team as the Purchasing Expeditor. In this position, the Purchasing Expeditor manages supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products at the best total cost. This role involves close collaboration with various internal departments to achieve company goals while minimizing conflicts. The Chief Expeditor must understand supplier processes and cost drivers, ensuring suppliers meet IMMI's demand and delivery schedules.IMMI® is the trusted, global leader of safety solutions, helping to protect millions of lives every day. - Developing relationships with key personnel at partner suppliers.
- Negotiating with suppliers for best total cost options for expediting parts.
- Training and developing suppliers on the use of IMMI's demand and forecasting tools.
- Prevent IMMI manufacturing from having line-down situations.
- Develop a complete understanding of the suppliers' processes for specified commodities and the cost drivers in these commodities.
- Candid communication with suppliers to ensure they understand our demand, forecasting, and timing required to manufacture and ship on time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Purchasing, Engineering, Operations or related field.
- 3-5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience.
- Must possess highly developed negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Complex data analytical skills with demonstrated results.
- Experience with Oracle ERP and Supplier Portal.
