Job DetailsSummary/Objective:The Collections Specialist will be responsible for calling, negotiating, and educating our clientele regarding their past due balances and Company polices. The Collections Specialist will also act as a liaison for our location staff to ensure service is above and beyond our client expectations. The successful candidate will have strong critical thinking, organizational, quality assurance, and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Contact clients by phone to retrieve past due monies
- Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve clients' problems
- Keep records of clients' interactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken in the computer system
- Partner with various locations to address and resolve billing and collections discrepancies
- Maintain daily outbound call requirements (50 outbound weekly average)
- Ensure clients receive 3 follow-up calls monthly on any unresolved accounts
- Send collection letters to clients in accordance with company guidelines
- Generate and maintain a monthly aging report documenting collection activity
- Follow policy and procedures outlined in the issued collection manual

Supervisory Responsibility:This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesMinimum Requirements & Experience:
- High School Diploma
- 1 + years of experience in a high-volume call center environment
Preferred Education & Experience:
- 1+ years of experience with first party collections or accounts receivable
