Job Summary:The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the Purchasing Department and all Purchasing staff.Also responsible for coordinating various consolidated activities of the CNE Purchasing Department.Manages the Materials Management Information System.Coordinates departmental cost savings initiatives and price benchmarking program.On-site/Hybrid schedule.Duties and Responsibilities:Performs all duties of a Purchasing Supervisor within the CNE Purchasing Department.Oversees the daily operations of the CNE Purchasing Office including payroll, scheduling and other related functions.Coordinates joint purchasing management activities and advises and assists other Purchasing Supervisors as needed.Manages departmental cost savings initiatives.Coordinates departmental price benchmarking program.Effectively utilizes and manages Materials Management Information System (MMIS).Assists Director of Materials management on purchasing, materials management and departmental issues.Manages Human Resources effectively.Functions as liaison for all CNE entities.Performs other related duties as assigned or required.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree required with concentration in data processing, systems management, and business.Three to five years of experience as systems and materials manager or purchasing agent required, preferably in a hospital setting.Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of computers and related business applications preferred.On-site/Hybrid schedule.EEOC Statement: Care New England is an equal opportunity employer.
