Protecnium (protecnium.com/en) is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services. We are currently seeking a Purchase/Procurement Manager for a tunnel large-scale environmental project in Washington, D.C.

Estimated Duration: 48 months, with the possibility of extension depending on the project's progress. Typically, upon project completion, we aim to transition the employee to other projects for continuity.

Main Mission: To develop cost-effective strategies for the procurement of materials, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure the efficient flow of goods and services that support the project's success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for purchasing materials needed for the project.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and continually scout for new vendors.
• Evaluate spending operations to improve product quality and delivery times.
• Communicate regularly with management regarding the flow of goods and services that affect production.
• Conduct cost analyses and establish benchmarks for continuous improvement.
• Develop risk management procedures to mitigate potential losses due to product shortages.
• Supervise the purchasing team and delegate tasks across departments as needed.
• Collaborate with the company's legal department to ensure that contracts and terms are favorable.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering.
• 8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing management.
• Fluency in English
• Experience in heavy civil engineer

Work Schedule: 9 hours per day (including a 1-hour lunch break).
