This position will lead the purchasing team and is responsible for the organization's procurement activities. This person will ultimately impact the bottom line and operational success with cost-effective and strategic goals that align with the company. This role works cross-functionally and with the supplier base to maintain a supply chain continuity plan.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Purchasing Team to achieve high-performance standards by setting clear objectives, monitoring progress, mentoring team members, and effectively navigating challenges.
- Effectively manage and diffuse external pressures, unexpected challenges, and conflicts, enabling the team to focus on core responsibilities without disruptions.
- Develop and maintain a robust Supply Chain Continuity Plan that aligns with the company's expansion and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) strategies
- Assist Department Leaders with sourcing and pricing with existing vendor relationships.
- Monitor vendor compliance and performance, implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure optimal supplier performance and adherence to standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years' of Supervisory experience leading teams with direct reports
- 5+ years' of purchasing experience in Supply Chain management
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
