DescriptionPurchasing Manager We are looking for a detail-oriented supply chain professional to manage the supply chain for our company. Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy.
- Define, install, and maintain business system parameters and requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Engineers, Sales, and Operations to determine supply chain solutions from a technical and business perspective.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers.
- Set stocking levels to run a lean, but sufficient inventory level to meet company requirements.
- Perform periodic risk assessments of the supplier base to identify, correct and/or mitigate weaknesses in the supply chain.
- Maintain supplier redundancy where needed to eliminate supply chain disruptions or to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Ensure all materials are purchase at the most competitive price while ensuring stocking levels remain within target range.
Requirements:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, similar field, and/or relevant experience.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- The ability to work as a team.
