Job Description Summary The Receiving/Storeroom Assistant Manager participates in all aspects of the storeroom & receiving department, including receiving of nonfood items, food items, materials and equipment which are delivered through the loading dock. Responsible for outgoing items along with organization and sanitation of loading dock and storerooms Job Description Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:
  • Key Job Function
    • Receive all food, beverage, materials, equipment and guest packages which are delivered through the loading dock.
    • Check for freshness (temperature), quality, quantity, size, price and accuracy to food order sheets. (raise any discrepancies with chef)
    • Compare with order sheets to ensure proper item, price and specifications. Non-food items and raise discrepancies with correct department
    • Ensure all products are secured immediately in stock room
    • Responsible for food stockroom inventory biweekly.
    • Responsible for organization and sanitation of receiving/storerooms/loading dock.
    • Check incoming products against standard purchase specifications in EPRO (purchase order system) and receive purchase orders as needed for various departments
    • Work closely with Sales and Marketing team regarding guest packages utilizing our facility to ship items for events. Notify and work with the assigned manager to identify and secure items immediately.
    • Ensure all guest packages are logged, given to front desk and billed to guest room.
    • Responsible for outgoing packages
    • Respond to customer (internal & external, supplier and guest) requests, inquires and problems in a quick efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and a quality service.
  • Maintain all paperwork and archiving both accurately and efficiently. Ensure the security of the information held within the department Any other functions as required by supervisor and manager.

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.
Qualifications and Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • 2-5 years' experience working in a similar (or translatable) environment
  • Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates.
  • Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
  • Computer knowledge (Microsoft systems preferred)
  • Experience with procurement and PMS systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Job Information/Anticipated Pay Range Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00 ; Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific/overall experience.
