Job Description:
Spherion is hiring a detail-oriented Purchasing Scheduler to oversee and streamline the procurement and scheduling processes for our client in Auburn! This role is essential to maintaining an efficient supply chain and ensuring production timelines are met. The Purchasing Scheduler will coordinate with suppliers, manage inventory levels, and align procurement with production demands, contributing to smooth operational flow and cost management.Responsibilities:Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages or excess.Schedule and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials based on production needs.Develop and adjust purchasing schedules to align with production plans, adjusting for fluctuations in demand or material availability.Collaborate with production and logistics teams to anticipate material requirements and address any changes or delays.Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating costs and terms to achieve the best pricing, quality, and delivery options.Track and report on inventory turnover, order accuracy, and supplier performance to optimize purchasing efficiency.Implement process improvements in purchasing and scheduling to reduce lead times and improve operational effectiveness.Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PMSkills:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.3+ years of experience in purchasing, scheduling, or supply chain coordination, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Education:BachelorsExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:Inventory ManagementProcurement and NegotiationProduction SchedulingVendor Relationship ManagementERP/MRP Systems ProficiencyAnalytical SkillsMicrosoft Office SuiteCost Management and BudgetingApply today!
