Our comprehensive range of high-quality solutions and technical services covers the entire electronics supply chain, empowering businesses to thrive in today's competitive landscape.Who are we looking for?We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Specialist to join our team at the MacDermid Alpha New Jersey facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing and procurement, with the ability to execute sourcing strategies effectively across multiple sites and departments.What will you be doing?Sourcing Strategy Execution:* Purchase goods and services per sourcing strategy, ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets.* Identify savings opportunities and collaborate on projects with supervisors and sourcing managers.* Provide updates and reports to department managers and feedback to Regional Sourcing Managers.Supply Base Management:* Manage local suppliers and optimize costs.* Support new and existing contracts with vendors, negotiate pricing, and resolve supply issues.* Process purchase orders and work with Accounts Payable to address invoice issues.Collaboration and Compliance:* Interface with Operations, Quality, R&D, and Product Marketing.* Ensure compliance with company policies and participate in supplier audits.Inventory Control:* Maintain inventory records for raw materials.Administrative Support:* Provide backup support as needed, including shipping assistance.Who are You?* Bachelor's degree preferred* 3-5 years of relevant experience required* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.* Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as JDE, SAP, Esker, PowerBI and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)We understand that not all candidates may meet the requirements listed above. If you believe you have the knowledge and experience necessary to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply.What competencies will you need?* Work effectively across all functions in the Company.* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, as well as demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels.* Negotiation skills and experience in establishing and maintaining influential relationships with suppliers is a plus.* Positive attitude, self-starter and proven ability to work in a team environment.* Accomplished Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
