Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time / Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Fort Myers, FL.

The Purchasing Specialist II is responsible for supporting the Purchasing department in daily activities and functions. This role will utilize the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) platform and assist the department with processing requests to order medical & office supplies, furniture, and equipment to support all physician, administrative, and corporate offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing common administrative tasks, such as maintaining contact and pricing spreadsheets, ordering department supplies, and coordinating deliveries for the department.
  • Assisting management with daily ordering using the Basware Procure-to-Pay platform.
  • Participate in projects as assigned.
  • Assist and provide support to offices and departments with needs related to placing orders and returns.
  • Opening and maintaining vendor accounts with required licensure, rostering locations to applicable contracts.
  • Follow up with vendors to ensure prompt delivery and resolve any issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, offering cost savings and process efficiency suggestions.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing reports and documentation per policy and procedures.
  • Reconciling department credit cards.
  • Review, and manage requisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with MPG's standards in the procurement processing system.
  • Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in Purchasing.
  • 3+ years of experience and knowledge with Procure-to-Pay business processes and/or applications preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Adaptability to various healthcare settings.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks effectively
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Physical Demands:Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Ability to lift to 15 lbs. independently not to exceed 50 lbs. without help.
