About the Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Pure Oxide Operator to join the Centerra Langeloth team. This position is an onsite role based in Langeloth, PA, with a rotating shift schedule and is responsible for overseeing the production and refining of oxide. This role is also responsible for conducting quality checks and tests on samples to ensure they meet required specifications and standards.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Operate and control various machinery and equipment used for production such as fork trucks and tuggers.
* Continuously monitor and records various operating parameters to ensure the process is running smoothly and efficiently.
* Detect and troubleshoot operational issues that may arise.
* Weigh and process hearth tailings and pack product in a variety of containers.
* Make adjustments to the primary fan, transformers, furnace feed, and pugmill to maintain quality.
* Blow down spiders, when necessary.
* Adhere to all safety procedures, guidelines, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
* Report safety hazards promptly.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
* Maintain accurate records of production data, process parameters, and quality control measures.
* Follow environmental regulations and protocols to minimize the impact on the environment; This includes following proper procedures for disposal of waste materials.
About You
The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
* High school diploma or GED; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
* Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and maintain equipment.
* Ability to work in a potentially hazardous environment.
* Previous experience in a similar role withing a processing plant is high desirable.
