Join our world-class, innovative team today.Position Specific DescriptionThis position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. This position will be based out of Northern NY and the incoming employee will need to live in or relocate to the Syracuse area.The position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, AC/DC inverters on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. Maintains all tools, shops, vehicles, and all work locations in a safe and efficient condition. Provides inspection of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for solar arrays and inverters. Inspection is performed daily for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing inverters from producing grid power. A candidate would be responsible for supporting teammates in nearby states in the region and maintaining reliability, operations, and maintenance for sites in the Niagara/Buffalo area.This position will include travel to other nearby sites and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.Job OverviewThe Site Technician will support the Regional Manager or designee to ensure the perfect execution of the PGD processes.
