Responsibilities:
The Prevailing Wage Act (PWA) Compliance Coordinator supports the organization's efforts to ensure that vendor operations comply with applicable Prevailing Wage Acts (PWAs) and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations, specifically for projects and service agreements. This role provides administrative support, manages compliance documentation, assists with training, and tracks key compliance metrics, ensuring all compliance requirements are met. The Compliance Coordinator also helps facilitate the integration of compliance requirements into project planning and operational workflows.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable PWAs in vendor operations through administrative tasks and support.
- Help monitor and track compliance metrics related to PWAs and service agreements, gathering data for reporting purposes.
- Support internal team by organizing and coordinating compliance-related documentation and communication.
- Assist in integrating compliance requirements into project planning by providing administrative support.
- Help facilitate training sessions on PWA compliance for vendors and internal staff by scheduling and organizing logistics.
- Distribute training materials and track attendance for compliance training sessions.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a database of compliance-related documents and records, ensuring they are current and well-organized.
- Support in filing and documentation tasks to ensure compliance records are readily available.
Education or Desired Licenses and Certificates:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, project management, or a related field is typically preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a compliance or administrative support role, preferably with a focus on vendor management, contract compliance, or regulatory affairs.
- Knowledge or experience working with the Prevailing Wage Act (PWA), IRS regulations, or other government compliance standards is highly desirable.
- Experience in project management or supporting compliance-related initiatives in industries such as construction, energy, or service contracts is a plus.
- Certifications in compliance (such as Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional, or similar) are a plus, but not required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of the Prevailing Wage Act (PWA) and related regulatory frameworks, with the ability to monitor and enforce compliance within vendor operations.
- Highly organized with the ability to maintain compliance documentation, track metrics, and manage a database of compliance-related records.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring compliance documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and readily available for audits or inspections.
- Ability to gather and analyze data for compliance reporting purposes, tracking metrics and ensuring proper documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate between internal teams and vendors and to organize and distribute compliance-related training materials.
- Experience in organizing and facilitating training sessions, including scheduling, tracking attendance, and ensuring that training materials are distributed in a timely manner.
- Capable of performing administrative duties such as filing, managing documentation, and supporting the integration of compliance tasks into project planning.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, legal, and vendor management, to ensure compliance requirements are understood and met.
- Ability to proactively identify potential compliance risks and assist in resolving them through administrative processes or by escalating concerns appropriately.

For candidates in the states of California, Colorado, New York and Washington, the anticipated annual base salary for this role is between $50,000 - $95,000 This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The base salary offered is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, location, or other factors related to the role.
