Insight Global is looking for a Python Developer for a Senior Living Operator client in the Des Moines, IA area. This individual will join a team of 10 data engineers and act as the subject matter expert for app development and deployment. Day to day breakdown of this role include spending 10% of their time in meetings, collaborating with their team and participating in a daily standup, and 90% heads down work. This individual will assist in executing several projects surrounding the setting up a framework to understand where they can go with Streamlit with their python app development. In addition this person will be involved in executing the enhancment and/or replacement of existing products/systems. Design, develop, and maintain robust Python applications. Leverage Azure Cloud services for deploying, scaling, and managing applications (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure Storage). Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to support data services and web-based applications. Optimize code for performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, DevOps, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions. Utilize Microsoft Power Platform to integrate solutions with Power Automate and Power Apps where applicable. Ensure best practices for cloud security, architecture, and efficient cost management. Pay rate for this position ranges between $50.00 - $70.00/hr dependent on experience and skillset. Required Skills & Experience 5+years hands-on Python development experience, specifically backend development. Experience working in a Microsoft Azure Cloud environment, including familiarity leveraging it's technologies. Experience designing, consuming, and managing RESTful APIs. SQL and NoSQL databases. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, particularly in cloud-native applications. Nice to Have Skills & Experience Experience with Mulesoft. Experience with Streamlit for app development and building (specifically deployment into snowflake). Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
