Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a QA Automation - API.Position type: Contract (W2)Duration: Long TermLocation: Chicago, IL (Hybrid 3 days Onsite)As a QA Automation - API, you will:Position Summary:Works with Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. Conducts end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC. Designs and Executes test scripts based upon test strategy/plans in an effort to identify defects prior to production. Tests may be manual, automated or both. May also include Production Certification which requires manual/automated scripts be executed to certify production health and/or identify post-production defects. Works as a member of the project team to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. Assists with data management.Required Skills:Experience with Functional and Web Service Testing7+ Years General Testing3+ Years Web Service/API Testing Experience.Experience in multiple testing types (Functional, Web Service/API, Regression, Performance)Proficient in all phases of SDLC as it relates to Testing, Web Service/API TestingExperience in testing using JUnit/ Test NG/ SOAP UI frameworks required to develop and execute automated test solutionsExperience in Java programming language with good understanding of webservicesExpertise in translating business requirements into automated test suitesAbility to work independently and with others to gather requirements and document the Web Service/API Testing Test PlanExperience reviewing Use Cases and application technology to assess the feasibility of using defined tools to simulate API/ Webservice integrationsCapable of Developing, testing, and debugging scripts in multiple protocols (HTTP, SOAP, REST)Proficient in Executing, analyzing, and reporting the results and understand testing impactsCollaborating with technical teams for troubleshooting issues and supporting root cause analysisStrong attention to detail to ensure consistent quality in all phases of TestingUnderstanding overview of Web Application and its architecture - Multitier architectureAnalytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent in both written and oral communicationDegree in IT or equivalentWe are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar positions.
