About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled, resilient, and energetic QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is a proactive, tech-savvy self-starter who thrives under constant pressure and delivers high-quality results without succumbing to stress. You should be passionate about QA, coding, and solving complex problems. As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with our QA, development and product teams, to ensure the robustness and reliability of our blockchain and decentralized application products. You should have strong experience in both manual testing and automation, covering a range of testing types beyond just UI automation. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and ongoing changes in dApps
- Perform detailed manual testing to identify, document, and track bugs and issues.
- Validate new features against functional requirements and specifications.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure new code does not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Develop and maintain a robust automation framework and test scripts using Python and industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, PyTest) to support ongoing testing needs.
- Implement automated testing for various types of tests, including UI, API, integration, and performance testing.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and rapid feedback.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure alignment.
- Collaborate with the international QA team to ensure consistency and quality across all testing efforts.
- Provide clear and concise documentation of test results, issues, and testing progress.
- Conduct performance testing to assess the responsiveness, stability, and scalability of dApps.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience as a QA Engineer, preferably in the blockchain or fintech industry.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in manual testing and experience with automated testing tools.
- Strong proficiency in Python for automation testing.
- Experience with various types of automated testing, including UI, API, integration, and performance testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Passion for blockchain technology and decentralized applications.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure and maintain composure in stressful situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance testing.
- Knowledge of blockchain protocols and smart contract testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in a startup environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
- Rust, Go, and JavaScript knowledge are a plus.
