Location/Division Specific Information:The Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDD) provides innovative diagnostic solutions for select IVD market segments and has been a trusted supplier in the IVD industry for over 40 years. The division provides products for drugs of abuse testing, therapeutic drug monitoring, quality control, sepsis diagnosis, prenatal screening and more.
Position Summary:- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the efficiency of the quality system.
- Inspect incoming materials to determine if they meet approved specifications.
- Interpret drawings and part specifications.
- Use measuring instruments to measure and inspect materials.
- Document nonconformances in the quality system and participate as needed in the Discrepancy Report (DR)/Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) system.
- Inspect materials in a timely manner to ensure vital storage temperature requirements are maintained.
- Disposition materials for use based upon the outcome of the inspection.
- Move materials to and from IQA both physically and electronically in SAP.
- Assist management and site with revision of departmental processes to ensure continual improvement.
- Follow GMP, wearing accurate PPE for assigned work area's
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:- Minimum requirement High School Diploma, preferred bachelor's degree in, Science or applicable field.
- Minimum of 2 years of accumulated experience in Quality Assurance, Compliance and/or Incoming Material Inspection Quality Control.
- Requires a basic understanding of the practices, principles, and theory of GMP Services
- Hands on demeanor to get things done with the ability to manage change to a successful conclusion
- Ability to effectively communicate persuasively across the whole organization
- Must be a self-starter who can take general concepts and direction and produce desirable results.
- Willingness to undertake on the job training in all areas of the Quality Management System.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks functions effectively
- Strong quality background and problem analysis and decision-making skills such as six sigma/PPI
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, SAP and standard computer applications.
- May be required to perform other related duties as the need arises and / or assigned.
Required Hiring Criteria:- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Basic understanding of Quality practices, cGMP regulations and ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to challenge, influence, and build consensus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
