In this role, you'll be an essential part of creating thoughtfully designed toys that encourage children to see the extraordinary in the ordinary, the possible in the impossible.ROLE OVERVIEWThe QA Technician position will be based in our Wilton, CT headquarters and will report to the Senior Product Integrity Manager. As a QA Technician, you will be a crucial member of the quadruple check team in our Quality Department helping to maintain Melissa & Doug's quality standards. You will test products from our overseas manufacturers looking for any defects in our products and packaging that may affect the customer's experience. This position functions as the primary hands-on role for testing in our laboratory. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Test product samples during the development cycle to identify any safety or quality issues that need to be corrected.
  • Execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures.
  • Help maintain quality standards for personalization of products.
  • Document test results in a formal report for review by the Quality Team.
  • Assist in investigating field complaints/issues.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent or the equivalent in related work experience
  • Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel, and MS Office/G Suite)
  • Familiarity with a lab environment- knowledge of laboratory terminology and good documentation practices
  • Extremely organized and detailed oriented
  • Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
  • Driven and self-motivated
  • Ability to lift/carry objects of 35lbs. or more
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required
