Position Overview: At Castle Hill Gaming, our QA Tester is a professional who manually tests the functionality and usability of new or existing software before it goes live to ensure it is bug-free. They work closely with developers, providing feedback on what needs improvement to produce top-quality programs that meet customer expectations. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail, logic and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in using computer hardware and are passionate about quality, we'd like to meet you! Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications, and systems work correctly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Manually execute test cases and analyze results.
  • Help investigate Field and Customer problems as needed.
  • Perform on-site testing on custom hardware.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Education, Training and Experience Required:Required:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills. • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Conceptual ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Able to embrace and excel in a small company environment that may require effort outside of your typical role.
Preferred:
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar.
  • Functional knowledge of test management software (e.g., Testmo, Jira, Gerkin).
  • Successful experience with manual testing processes.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues.
