Job Description:
Job Description Our client is a major cable broadcast network located in the heart of NYC. They are looking for a seasoned QA Test Lead with digital ad sales domain experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive WideOrbit product knowledge. This is a long term contract opportunity that is expected to last 1-2 years. Mandatory Qualifications: BS/MS in Computer Science or relevant field
  • 5+ years work experience in software testing role
  • 3+ years managing onsite/offshore testing teams
  • Domain experience in Ad Sales (e.g. Linear and Digital)
  • Product experience in WideOrbit
  • Operating Systems/Platforms: Windows 7, Citrix and VMs
  • Languages: SQL and Oracle queries, VB script, HTML5
  • Expert knowledge of SDLC/STLC, Scrum, Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience in back-end data validations and end-to-end testings
  • Detail oriented with strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Exceptional analytic and problem solving skills
  • Ability to advocate for QA best practices, great usability and exceptional quality
  • Quick learner and a team player
  • Customer service orientation
  • ISTQB Foundation Certified
Additional Requirements: Create and maintain test cases and test scripts for different test types (e.g. Regression, functional, system integration and UAT)
  • Work with Project Manager and other technical leads to establish QA milestones and agree on QA test plan/approach
  • Document test plan and create requirement traceabilitiy matrix
  • Plan, organize test artifacts and perform test executions manually
  • Perform validations on test environment readiness and generate test data as needed
  • Perform regression testing to validate the resolution of application defects
  • Make recommendations to enhance existing test suites and test cases for future regression
  • Manage test activities of other onsite/offshore QA members, providing direction, test estimations, and reporting their activities to management
  • Implement appropriate measurements and test metrics to be applied for system under test and against testing team
  • Track bug defects in JIRA and prepare test status/result summary to Project Manager
  • Review of test results and defects to determine/assess impact to overall project plan and implementation schedule
  • Participate in team process and continuous improvement initiatives by understanding development life-cycle.
