Shift Information
- Monday to Thursday; 7:00 AM to 5:15 PM with potential overtime
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 10+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of experience in quality control
General Requirements
- Proficient in Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) inspection methods and testing
- Solid understanding of welding processes and weld symbols
- Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in both fabrication and machining
- Strong design knowledge, including techniques, tools, and principles for creating precise technical plans, tolerances, tolerance stack-ups, drawings, and models
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to train, mentor, and develop team members
Preferred Requirements
- Associate's degree
- Certification as a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)
- 3+ years of experience with ASME and AWS codes and standards
- 1+ year of welding experience
- 5+ years of experience in Welding/NDE Inspection
- 3+ years of experience with tight tolerance and geometric dimensional inspection
- Experience with CMM; familiarity with Keyence systems is a plus
Essential Functions
- Apply ASME Code and quality standards, with experience in the Nuclear Industry or other quality-controlled environments like ISO 9001 or AS9100
- Utilize expertise in manufacturing and fabrication processes, including ASME Code Section VIII and IX, B31.1, B31.3, AWS, and related standards
- Interpret and ensure compliance with source documents, including drawings and dimensional requirements
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency with CMMs, calipers, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Generate detailed QC reports and data analysis, providing actionable recommendations based on findings
- Verify that quality inspection methods and associated tests are completed accurately and thoroughly
- Potentially perform NDE activities, such as Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT)
