High degree of ownership, and desire to make those around you better.Primary Job Functions:To serve our growing business, we are looking for a QC Inspector with a focus on CMM operation and programing. The following is a summary of the primary job description:Work with fabrication drawings, CAD models and PCDMIS software to develop and edit programs and inspect parts on a large format CMMComplete setup activitiesTroubleshoot issues with equipment and programming, including validating with alternate measurement devicesInspect various parts utilizing traditional precision measuring tools and equipmentConduct visual inspections including cosmetic and weldDocument inspection results according to internal and customer requirementsUnderstand and communicate inspection results with internal customers and assure accurate resultsQualificationsSkills RequiredMust be able to read and understand part fabrication drawings and CAD modelsExperience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and applying methodology to inspection practicesFluent in precision measuring equipment including, but not limited to micrometers, calipers, gauges and profilometersExperience in CMM set-up and operation, large format experience a plusExperience using CMM programming software, PC-DMIS software preferredExperience with portable measuring arms and laser trackers a plusFamiliarity with material types and propertiesMust be able to apply basic math skills to inspection practicesPrior experience in a manufacturing environment, custom equipment manufacturing a plusProficient in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel) and Adobe AcrobatExperience:Minimum 3 years' experience in QC inspection and CMM operation / programming in a manufacturing environment.Education:Minimum High School or GED, Trade School or higher education preferredKTC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and strong advocate of workforce diversity.
