The QC Lab Tech will be involved in first article inspections, QC Special Studies, Root Cause analysis, performing statistical analysis if necessary, investigating quality issues on parts, and assisting in the calibration of measuring and test equipment. This person must be able to interpret part drawings according to ASME Y14.5 2009 standard and effectively communicate vital information to various personnel throughout the organization.We Offer Immediate Interviews for Qualified Candidates! Starting at $19.00 - $22.00/HR depending on experience.ECHO's benefits include:11 paid holidaysExtremely affordable medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid PTO (Paid Time Off)5% 401K matchTuition ReimbursementAdvancement and Growth OpportunitiesEligible for a $300 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment if all qualifications are satisfied.Eligible for a $300 referral bonus upon referring an employee who successfully completes 90 days of employment.Duties/Responsibilities:Perform first article inspections of new parts, revised parts, and assemblies using various precision inspection instruments to ensure conformance to ordinary and close tolerances and/or visual requirements.Create detailed First Article Inspection reports using the FAI database (SharePoint) and submit these reports to the Quality Control Supervisor / First Article Inspection for review.Receive and follow instructions to perform Quality Control Special Studies inspections on a variety of parts and assemblies using various precision inspection instruments.Produce detailed reports on Quality Control Special Studies using computer software, such as Microsoft Excel and Windows Paint, and perform statistical analysis if necessary and submit these reports to the Quality Control Assurance Supervisor for review.Assist in the calibration of inspection instruments such as precision master rings and custom internal gaging devices. Assist in maintaining calibration records of inspection instruments, torque wrenches, scales, calipers, etc.Aid in quality investigations to determine the root cause of quality-related issues of parts and assemblies.Keep facilities (5S), material, and orderly work area.Maintain general good housekeeping practices and conform to all safety and quality requirements.Perform various other duties and assignments as requested to assist the operation and overall functioning of the department and company.Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of quality control experience with proven proficiency in all aspects of the quality functions in the area assigned.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.Must be able to properly interpret part drawings according to ASME Y14.5-2009 standard and use various inspection tools (i.e., Micrometers, Calipers, Optical Comparator, CMM, Form tracer, Portable CMM, Visual system, Hardness Tester (Rockwell and Vickers), and various inspection gauges).Use of Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of trigonometry and GD&T is considered a plus.Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.Equal Opportunity Employment:We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and celebrate our employees' differences, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or Veteran status.E-Verification:In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.#J-18808-Ljbffr
