Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a QC Lab Technician position at a personal care manufacturing facility in Baton Rouge. The overall responsibility of the position is the analysis of deionized water, incoming chemicals, work-in-progress materials, and finished products utilizing aseptic technique and following company SOPs. Additional Responsibilities:
- Inspection of incoming product containers and labels to ensure they meet quality standards
- Identify and classify chemicals, product containers, work-in-progress materials and finished products as accepted or rejected based on analyses/inspections
- Perform inspection of finished products packaging, closures, and labels
- Complete documentation associated with all inspections and audits
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment and ensure the lab is stocked with supplies
- Keep temperature logs of incubators, refrigerators, and freezers
- Prepare microbiological media and culture pathogens on such media
- Collects, sterilizes, and disposed of biohazard materials
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Biology or related discipline
- One year of related work experience
- General familiarity with laboratory equipment and the ability to learn new laboratory techniques
- Familiarity with aseptic technique
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated, high ownership of assigned tasks, and results oriented
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
This is a temp to hire position with a Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm work schedule. Pay range for the position is commensurate upon level of applicable education and work experience.
