Our organization is committed to maintaining a positive and engaging workplace for all employees.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe Quality Control (QC) Order Clerk (Freezer/Cooler) involves significant work in the freezer and cooler environments. The Quality Control (QC) Order Clerk (Freezer/Cooler) will input data into a spreadsheet, assist with transfers between facilities, and collaborate with warehouse and inventory control staff to conduct and coordinate the daily cycle counting program. Additionally, this position involves researching and reporting on order-related statistics.WHAT YOU'LL DOOrder Accuracy and Quality Control: Spot-checks completed orders in the warehouse. Inputs the data from the order checking on a spreadsheet. Verifies that the CSFP orders are correct nightly. Notifies the supervisor of any issues with the quality of an item. If needed, unwraps, breaks down, and rewraps a pallet to check an order. Quality-focused with strong attention to detail.Warehouse Operations and Environment: Performs work as assigned by the Operations Manager, other warehouse managers, and supervisors. Perform all assigned duties in freezer and cooler environments for extended periods. Operates a pallet jack to facilitate the checking of the order. Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs. Good knowledge and understanding of products, services, and computer applications applicable to the assigned area.Administrative Tasks and Support: Researches and reports on order-related statistics. Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and strong attention to detail. Self-starter with a high ability to quickly comprehend technical concepts, and a willingness to take charge and seek out answers. Valid CA Driver's License and access to a reliable and insured vehicle. Required to travel within Los Angeles County. May need to commute between Food Bank facilities. Passion for the Food Bank's mission and commitment to the organization's values (respect, stewardship, accountability, etc.).QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable with Excel, and has strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail Oriented with good aptitude for figures.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Knowledgeable with Excel is a must.
  • Candidates must be personable with the ability to interact with everyone from volunteers to upper level management.
  • Able to lift up to 45 lbs. on a daily basis (to move boxes of product).
  • Very good eye-hand coordination.
