Job Description:

We are looking for a QC Supervisor to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location!

Your Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities and will play an integral role in the Quality Assuranceorganization providing supervision of the Quality Control Inspection workforce. This individual will work closely with operation supervisors, our engineering department, program managers, Supply Chain Management, other Quality Assurance Stakeholders, along with hourly and salaried workforces to ensure the continued high manufacturing and production standards Curtiss Wright EMD has been known for over the last 70 years!

Your Challenge:

    • Supervise Union represented Inspection workforce
    • Follow, Interpret and administer labor agreements
    • Maintain responsibility for Inspector personnel records and training
    • Oversee methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating production processes and finished products
    • Engage with other departments, customers, and suppliers to investigate and resolve quality issues.
    • Apply procedures to effectively implement the Quality Management System
    • Aid in planning of annual budget while maintaining responsibility in meeting the budgets objectives
    • Lead Inspector cross-training program
    • Schedule and coordinate inspector assignments to ensure adequate coverage for factory work communicate that to Operations while meeting defined priorities.
    • Represent Quality Control at production, project, and operations meetings
    • Interface with on-site customers as needed

What you Bring:

    • Candidates must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related technical / science degree
    • Minimum 4 years of direct quality experience related in a manufacturing environment
    • Working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Office suite, and other computing systems
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a necessity.
    • Ability to direct others and manage conflict
    • Due to nature of our work candidates must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
