Job Details

Job Title: Resident Assistant

Shift: 12 hoursAmaris Assisted Living Homes is seeking a compassionate and reliable Resident Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have 1 year of prior caregiving experience in a residential setting and will be QMAP certified.

Full Job Description

Resident Assistant Responsibilities:

- Caring for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents

- Assisting residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility

- Aiding in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery

- Assisting with dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up

- Observing and reporting changes in resident's condition and status

- Documenting client concerns and difficulties and reporting to supervisor

- Scheduling doctor appointments as needed

- Completing rounds on residents to assure safety and provide assistance as needed

- Attending meetings/in-services/training sessions as required by Health Services Director and/or Executive Director

- Communicating with residents, families, visitors, and employees in a positive manner using excellent communication skills

- Representing the agency in a loyal manner

- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Graduation from high school or successful G.E.D.

- Verifiable work experience as a caregiver or CNA, preferably 1 year.

Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to frequently sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch or crawl

- Ability to frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds.

- Ability to see and hear within normal parameters/ranges.

- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the workforce

- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions related to providing client care

- Ability prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to client needs and schedule
