Job Description:
SUMMARYPerforms internal system audits to ensure that the company is in compliance with the current quality standards. Reports audit results and ensures that corrective actions are implemented, preventative and improvement measures are in place and resolves noncompliance issues via follow up verifications and internal audits. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
  • Completion of ISO audits as assigned
  • Completion of OKP audits as assigned
  • Completion of corrective actions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Audits all areas within the scope of the QMS for ISO compliance including Fabrication, Assembly, Engineering, Production Planning/Control, Shipping/Receiving, Maintenance, Sales, Purchasing, Technical Support, Information Technology, Training, and Executive Management
  • Documents corrective/preventive/improvement actions. Assists with external audits, during management system compliance audits
  • Responsible for understanding findings, highlighting process gaps, and assisting in defining expectations required to meet company goals. These need to be accurately identified and communicated to the responsible parties through documented internal audit reports
  • Assists in the planning of the ISO internal audit schedule. Performs all internal audits for the Peachtree City and Griffin facilities.
  • Works with process improvement to deliver education and training material on ISO and other quality standards.
  • Assists management to develop the strategy for the future direction of the quality compliance.
  • Review/update internal quality standards to meet current ISO requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEAssociates degree or an equivalent combination or education and experience. A minimum of two years of experience in auditing and quality assurance. Strong computer and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively present information both written and orally. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Certified Internal Auditor (ISO 9001/ISO 14001).
  • Strong process mapping, process review, and documentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail is a must
  • Knowledge of internal audit best practices
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS Non-Manufacturing:
  • Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate
  • Requires standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift boxes/materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires telephone work and/or computer work, as well as interactions with other employees and customers
  • Ability to read, write, listen, and communicate effectively
  • Work is split between an office environment, where the noise level is low to moderate, and the production floor.
