Parkview Health·Quality Resource ManagementFort Wayne,INProfessional/Business SupportWork Location:PVSYSBenefit Eligible:Full Time Benefit EligibleHours/Week:40 hoursReq #176191Days,Monday - FridayWeekends?NoSummaryThe Quality/Accreditation Specialist (QAS) assists with researching, analyzing, planning, educating, implementing, evaluating and communicating patient safety, performance/quality improvement projects, to support Parkview Health's mission, vision and strategic goals. The QAS oversees and assists in coordination and facilitation of regulatory/accreditation activities. EducationRequires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health, Business, Sciences, Biostatistics, or related field with strong medical background and experience in a clinical setting. Master's degree preferred. Must have training/knowledge in regulatory requirements/standards. Licensure/CertificationRequires current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure or must obtain certification in an area of expertise within two years, e.g., Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Healthcare Accreditation Certification Program (HACP), or equivalent. ExperienceRecent (1 - 2 years) Quality Improvement experience in quality management, regulatory compliance, utilization review, infection control, risk management, information management systems or related medical research settings. Computer literate: must demonstrate expertise and proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Database and spreadsheet experience preferred. Must have experience in public speaking/presentations. Must have basic to moderate experience in research, statistics, analysis, and the conceptual understanding of Quality Improvement. Other QualificationsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have skills/knowledge related to the position's clinical setting. Statistics, variance monitoring or statistical process control knowledge preferred.
