Locals enjoy weekly farmers markets in downtown Templeton, farm-to-fork dining, beautiful landscapes for hiking and biking, and beach days just fifteen minutes away at Cambria and Morro Bay.Job Summary:Coordinates the implementation and maintenance of departmental information system and serves as a system resource specialist in support of the operational goals of the department. Designs, analyzes, documents, implements, tests, and manages existing programs, reports, and dictionaries. Coordinates upgrade enhancements to existing programs.Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience:
  • Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
  • Three years' technical experience: Preferred
  • Electronic Medical Records experience: Preferred
  • Data analysis and data base experience: Preferred
Essential Functions:
  • Receives, processes and verifies accuracy and completeness of all elements for reappointment applications in a timely and consistent manner. Acts as a resource for tracking, submission, and ongoing monitoring of quality and outcomes information, including the Leapfrog survey, US News & World Report, Healthgrades, and CMS. Serves as a resource for performance, quality outcomes, and operational analysis for the department, performs computer based clinical/operational data acquisition and analysis as requested.
  • Analyzes reports, identifies and communicates important findings, enters results into appropriate database. Prepares, analyzes, and interprets data statistically, designing reports that communicate useful and understandable information to internal and external customers as requested by the director. Generates standard and ad hoc reports by set deadlines, including the use of graphs, tables, and Statistical. Creates reports using Cerner's RCI reporting, Tableau and Premier, including designing and setting up reports.
  • Collaborates and partners with departments to provide clarity/coaching on the Leapfrog Survey, other outcome reports, and related data elements. Coordinates annual, seasonal, and ongoing management of the Leapfrog Survey workflow, including the collection, monitoring, and review of hospital data submission. Performs same for US News & World Report, utilizing their database to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintains appropriate computer file structures and hardcopy files in order to facilitate the ease of use by other members of the department. Integrates data from multiple sources. Maintains the integrity of the assigned data systems, ensuring accuracy of data prior to dissemination. Creates presentations and special reports regarding data analysis results, PI processes, and other assigned projects.
  • Conducts both formal and informal staff education and training as it relates to surveys, quality outcomes, regulatory requirements and programs utilized by Organizational Performance. Coordinates with individual departments and content experts to prepare appropriate comment responses for Leapfrog and other surveys.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
