Location Description:The Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania facility is 1,120,845 square feet and home to about 470 hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Kibbles 'n Bits and 9Lives. This location has a cannery that produces wet dog food and there is also a Distribution Center on-site. Bloomsburg is home to Bloomsburg University, a municipal airport, a landmark Town Park with many acres of recreational activities, and has one of the largest and longest running fairs in the country. With so much to do and see, Bloomsburg is a great place to live, work and play!
Responsibilities:As a Quality Food Safety Supervisor in pet food production, you will oversee and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring production activities, conducting regular inspections, and implementing safety protocols to comply with regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of quality control technicians, provide training on food safety practices, and collaborate with other departments to address any quality issues. Your role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and safety of pet food products, ensuring they meet both company standards and customer expectations.
This position is on-site Monday - Friday normal business hours. Relocation support available.

Qualifications:EDUCATIONBachelors degree is required (Technical, Science, Engineering or a related degree preferred)
EXPERIENCE3 years of quality experience is requiredPrior experience in successfully managing people and / or teams in a high-performance work environment is preferredDemonstrated experience in developing people essentialMust have a basic understanding of chemistry and microbiologyPrior food processing and/or manufacturing experience is preferredSKILLS & ABILITIESExcellent organizational skills specific to people, projects or data is a mustExcellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills also a mustDemonstrated ability to lead and influence cross functional teams necessaryExperience working in an environment that values peer-to-peer collaboration and managing upward through the organizationDemonstrate ability to work effectively across organization boundaries and with diverse teamsStrong written, verbal and presentation communication skills Strong commitment to Quality and SafetyDemonstrate ability to be decisive, proactive and strategic in decision making while role modeling balance for othersWillingness to work a flexible schedule across shifts as needed to most effectively support the organization; willing to report to work to address key and/or critical issues whenever necessary
