Quality Associate
Joe Description
The associate will support product quality by ensuring conformance of product to applicable in-process and final release specifications. Additionally, the associate will support tech transfer, equipment monitoring and calibration activities and participate in troubleshooting and/or assay optimization, as necessary. The successful candidate will be able to perform a variety of laboratory analyses and thoroughly document all activities according to relevant SOPs.
Education:
* Life science degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
* 2+ years in a lab analyst position. Microbiology or immunology experience preferred.
* Candidate must be proficient in use of basic laboratory equipment such as pipettors, balances, pH meters and conductivity meters.
* Experience with the following assays and techniques a plus: ELISA, BCA, LAL (endotoxin detection), HPLC, GC, OpenLAB software, PAGE, buffer/reagent preparation, cell growth and maintenance in tissue culture, immunodiffusion, general microbiological testing. Mouse handling experience is also desirable.
* Experience with environmental monitoring, water quality testing and equipment calibration is desired.
* Experience with general Quality Programs such as Incoming Quality Control, Change Management, Customer Complaints, Environmental Monitoring, Calibration, Deviations, Out of Specifications, Internal Auditing, Document Control and Corrective Actions a plus.
* Experience in a USDA or FDA regulated environment a plus.
