Overview:
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT services and software solutions. This role involves collaborating with development teams, analyzing system requirements, and applying QA methodologies to validate software functionality and performance throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing & Validation:
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure software meets requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects in collaboration with development teams.
- Validate system functionality, performance, and compliance with technical specifications.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.
- Communicate testing progress, results, and issues to project teams and leadership.
Process Improvement:
- Apply QA best practices to improve software testing processes.
- Participate in the design and implementation of automated testing tools where applicable.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects to prevent recurring issues.
Documentation:
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, results, and defect reports.
- Ensure that all QA deliverables meet organizational standards.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or a related role.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with manual and automated testing techniques.
- Proficiency in creating and managing test cases and bug tracking.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
