Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Assistant Manager is a key position for Aisin Texas in Cibolo, Texas. The Quality Assurance Assistant Manager is responsible and accountable for supporting the Quality Management System. This includes improving overall supplier quality and plant quality, by providing expertise and advice on production or product problems.
  • Lead and manage supplier quality activities for new product introduction and existing product with suppliers, including effective project management, coordination, and deployment of resources.
  • Monitor, analyze, report, and effectively use quality data to increase customer satisfaction and reduce risk.
  • Drive root cause analyses and problem-solving utilizing Quality Management System processes, LEAN methodology, and statistical tools.
  • Lead and manage supplier quality issues and corrective actions.
  • Support the facility with follow up to supplier corrective actions.
  • Present supplier quality performance data to leadership in support of the business needs
  • Lead assigned supplier quality teams through mentorship, communication, and project management to execute PPAP, SCAR and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Conduct audits, evaluate performance, develop action plans, and provide recommendations for the purpose of improving performance at suppliers.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality department / manufacturing.
  • Experience in PPAP requirements and root cause analysis
  • Computer skills working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills.
Desired Skills
  • Experience in a cross-cultural working environment.
  • High mechanical aptitude
  • Problem-solving mindset, willingness to go see the source of the issue.
  • Experience as a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer at an automotive manufacture.
Working/Physical Conditions
  • Able to lift up to 30lbs.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to travel as needed
