Join the nation's leading organ donor program which coordinates more life-saving transplants than any program in the country and provides hope and healing to thousands each year.What We Want:An experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator with 2-3 years of experience from a clinical or regulated environment with depth of experience performing medical record reviews as well as hands on Charting experience. Some of what you'll be doing:
- Assist in maintaining quality systems, such as record review, non-conformances, document control, and auditing.
- Perform quality assurance review of organ and tissue donor charts and potential donor assessment documents.
- Positively interact with our tissue processers, ME's, funeral homes and PCP's to obtain and pertinent historical medical information to ensure the health and integrity of our gifts
- Continuously supports release of anatomical gifts by exhausting possible resolutions to support a family's wishes.
- Assist in collaboration with all GLDP staff, as applicable, in achieving and monitoring the Clinical Service Division's compliance with GLDP clinical policies and procedures as they relate to documentation and donor record processes.
- Achieve and maintains regulatory and voluntary standards and accreditation relating to quality systems required for support of GLDP business practices.
- Provide data required by regulatory and accreditation agencies.
- Gather and process accurate donor information from laboratories, medical examiner/coroner and other sources.
Successful candidates will possess:
- Bachelor degree (or equivalent of education and/or experience) and two years of quality assurance experience in a regulated environment to include working knowledge of medical record auditing, process and standards compliance review or experience with audit methodologies is required.
- Two or more years of experience in organ and/or tissue procurement/transplantation preferred.
